We are located in the newly built IT building near Stora Holmen, where we work together with colleagues who all focus on IT issues. The Server Operations department consists of around 20 employees who jointly manage the operations, administration, and development of infrastructure and application operations within Region Örebro County.

Infrastructure operations include, among other things, virtual and physical servers, storage and backup systems, monitoring, and load balancing. The environment is distributed between Windows, Unix, and Linux. Application operations handle the operation, installation, configuration, licensing, and troubleshooting of IT systems that support all activities carried out within Region Örebro County.

The IT Area is one of the largest IT workplaces in the county with approximately 150 employees. We are responsible for coordinating, managing, and leading IT development in Region Örebro County. IT System Technician with a focus on Application Operations

Job Responsibilities

This position focuses on application operations, which means that as a system technician you are responsible for daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications with associated services and databases. The position includes tasks such as:

• Plan and perform installations, upgrades, and configurations in applications
• Troubleshooting to analyze problems and rectify errors and operational disturbances in applications
• Actively work with improvement efforts to ensure a stable and efficient application environment.

As a system technician with us, you will have the opportunity to work both in a team with your colleagues and take great personal responsibility with the opportunity to develop in your role. You are expected to maintain up-to-date documentation regarding your applications and contribute to the workplace's improved working methods, solutions, and processes.

Qualifications

You have a qualified vocational or higher education in IT infrastructure operations.

We expect you to have very good knowledge of:

• Windows Server OS
• Web technology with IIS as a platform
• Database technology and operations within MS SQL Server
• Documented experience of application operations
• Good skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Merits include experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Experience of complex and mission-critical IT environments
• Experience of monitoring, supervision, and log management
• Experience of working according to ITIL processes
• Experience of 24-hour uninterrupted operations
