We are currently seeking both senior and junior network technicians across several different areas.

Main Responsibilities

The role of a network technician involves a broad spectrum of network-related tasks. This may include configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, routers, and switches. Reviewing technical documentation, as well as reporting and documenting ongoing and completed work, is considered a natural part of the job. You will play a vital role in ensuring, together with your colleagues, a well-functioning and up-to-date IT environment.

Qualifications

• Academic education with an IT focus or other post-secondary education and/or experience deemed equivalent.
• Current and relevant experience with switches, routers, and network protocols.
• Good knowledge of network equipment such as firewalls and load balancers.
• Good knowledge and understanding of networks and IT infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of Cisco network products.
• Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
• Swedish citizenship.
• Class B driver's license.

Merits

• Encryption and secure communication.
• Certification in Cisco networks (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).
• Experience in building and designing network environments.
• Meritorious with Linux/Unix skills.
• Meritorious with knowledge of Windows Server and AD.

Other Information

The position is a permanent civilian employment based in Örebro. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a 6-month probationary period for those who have not previously been employed by the Armed Forces. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Travel and business trips are part of the role.
