The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. The IT department is an important part of sustainable development and creating both utility and value in society.

The servicedesk and ITSM section, which is part of the infrastructure and operations unit, is tasked with managing cases and actions based on the needs of the business. In our work, we use ITIL processes. We are now looking for a system technician with a strong customer focus who is driven to provide high-quality support. The work is varied, and our employees work both independently and in teams where they help each other.

About the Role

As a system technician focusing on ITSM, you will work to ensure that IT services run smoothly, are available, and adhere to established processes and quality requirements. The role combines technical competence with an understanding of service management. You will be part of a team of five people.

Main Responsibilities:

• implement and maintain the ITSM tool
• follow and improve ITIL processes such as incident management, problem management, change management
• collaborate with stakeholders in the business, servicedesk, and other technical teams to resolve cases effectively, e.g., with the help of automation.
• document and report according to best practices for service management.

You will also receive an in-depth introduction/training in the position of system technician.

You Must Have

• relevant academic education in the IT field or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent
• current experience in the management of IT systems
• current experience working in larger projects, assignments, or activities
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

It Is Meritorious If You Also Have

• good technical competence – understanding of programming, integrations, server management, and client management
• basic competence in SQL, REST API, and PowerShell.
• experience working in infrastructure and operations within the IT field
• experience working in large and complex organizations
• experience in security-sensitive operations
• knowledge of IT and information security.

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro.

Appointment according to agreement

We normally apply a probationary period.

Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Swedish Transport Agency

Number of employees: About 2000.

Areas of operation: The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, issue permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership transfers.

Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The majority of operations are in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the IT Department

The IT Department consists of five units with associated sections. We are about 300 employees.

We support all departments within the Swedish Transport Agency both strategically and operationally in IT matters. We work with architecture, system development, management, and operation of IT systems as well as infrastructure.
