We are located in the newly built IT building near Stora Holmen, where we work together with colleagues who all deal with IT issues. We have nice premises, good colleagues, and favorable conditions for collaboration. The Server Operations department consists of about 20 employees who collectively are responsible for the operation, management, and development of infrastructure and application operations within Region Örebro County.

The infrastructure operation includes, among other things, virtual and physical servers, storage and backup systems, monitoring, and load balancing. The environment is distributed between Windows, Unix, and Linux. The application operation handles the operation, installation, configuration, licensing, and troubleshooting of IT systems that support all activities conducted within Region Örebro County.

The IT area is one of the largest IT workplaces in the county with about 150 employees. We are responsible for coordinating, managing, and leading IT development in Region Örebro County. We are looking for someone who is ready to lead/execute various types of assignments that the department is responsible for. This may involve execution assignments for our operational environment or relieving colleagues who are allocated to projects. You will have a varied role working with both our daily ongoing tasks and a coordinating role with customer contact, planning, and execution of activities.

We wish that you have very good knowledge in:

• Windows OS
• VMWare
• Good knowledge in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Desirable is experience in one or more of the following areas:

• IT operational environment in a large organization
• Backup and restore
• Active Directory
• PowerShell
• Automation
• Data storage SAN/NAS
