GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring harnesses, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work on parts for aircraft engines form Engines together, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for aircraft and space rocket engines are developed and manufactured. They also work on engine maintenance.

GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the prevailing security regulations. For positions where GKN's customer has requirements for security clearance, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague for the ME Services department. The department works with configuration management for civil, space, and military products. As a Configuration Manager, you will work with both the daily responsibility for configuration management and contribute to influencing the development of future working methods and system support.

As a Configuration Manager, you have the main responsibility for driving and supporting several of the company's products with change management. You ensure that the product definition is complete, correctly structured, and traceable throughout the product's lifecycle. The role is central and important to ensure that our products meet the requirements for order and discipline imposed on safety-critical products in the industry GKN operates in. The product definition is used to set requirements for manufacturing internally and with suppliers. In this role, you will have close collaboration with other departments such as manufacturing, product development, quality, etc.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is structured and meticulous. Previous experience in configuration work is an asset. Knowledge of SAP and Teamcenter is an advantage. You will work with an experienced team and will be offered mentoring and training as needed. You should feel comfortable communicating with other functions within the company and enjoy being part of a team and working in a group. In addition, we expect you to contribute to creating a positive atmosphere and contribute to development in terms of both initiative-taking and creativity. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, university studies, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience

• Knowledge and experience in configuration management

• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

• Basic English in speech and writing

• Team player

• Structured
