Are you at the beginning of your career in system development and want to work closely with both technology and business operations? We are currently looking for a junior system developer who wants to grow within an agile team and contribute to the further development of PAX – a central system support tool for project managers at RISE. About us

Organizationally, you will belong to the RISE IT Department, whose mission is to create conditions for efficiently and quality-assuredly maintaining and further developing sustainable IT services for the entire organization. The IT Department is characterized by an ambitious and collegial working climate where collaboration, learning, and development are in focus. You will join the Development Support unit, which consists of the competence areas of system development, integration, automation, and business intelligence.

About the role
As a system developer, you will work together with an agile team that maintains and further develops the in-house developed business system PAX. PAX is a digital tool supporting RISE project managers, built on .NET.

The role gives you the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the entire system development and maintenance process. The focus is on gradually taking on more responsibility through work with requirements, testing, and quality assurance, troubleshooting, support, and development.

The position is a fixed-term employment with a planned start in May/June and a duration of approximately 10 months.

In this role, you will, among other things:

  • Be part of our agile team developing and maintaining PAX
  • Participate in the further development of the system together with the team
  • Perform testing and quality assurance in connection with new functionality and changes
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs and carry out minor improvements
  • Handle support cases, analyze problems, and contribute to solutions
  • Document functionality, known errors, and solutions
  • Participate in requirement setting, planning, and follow-up together with developers and clients
  • Gradually take on more responsibility within development as experience increases

Requirements

  • Higher education or university degree in IT or system development
  • Basic knowledge of system development
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with .NET/C#
  • Basic understanding of databases and APIs
  • Interest in requirement work, testing/quality assurance, and troubleshooting
  • You express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

Merits

  • Experience with requirement setting and ticket management systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Experience with testing work, manual or automated
  • Experience with support work or working close to users
  • Knowledge of agile working methods
  • Experience with version control, e.g., Git
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD or test automation
  • Practical experience from thesis work, internships, or trainee roles
