ABOUT THE WORKPLACE

The Administrative Department of the Municipal Administration leads and coordinates the municipality's work on civil defense, emergency preparedness, and security. We are now looking for an additional Preparedness Coordinator with a focus on security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be an important part of the work to investigate and develop proposals to strengthen our operations' ability to handle incidents in peacetime and during heightened alert. You will work closely with our other Preparedness Coordinator and have extensive contact with the municipality's various departments. A key part of your work will be to support the operations and integrate security and preparedness issues as a natural part of the municipality's processes. You will primarily work strategically and operationally to prevent and manage risks and strengthen security within the organization.

The work includes, for example:

• Develop and implement plans for emergency preparedness, civil defense, and security
• Plan and conduct training and exercises in the field
• Analyze vulnerabilities, drive systematic security work, and coordinate operational issues regarding physical security and personnel security.
• Tasks within the security protection area
• Participate in internal and external networks and cooperation forums
• Prepare decision-making materials for cases related to civil defense, emergency preparedness, and security.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a post-secondary education and preferably experience working with preparedness and security issues within the public administration.

The position is security classified, which means that a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
