Communicator with Responsibility for Press and Traffic Information

The Role of the Communicator

As a communicator responsible for press and traffic information, you hold a key role in how JLT is perceived by both passengers and the outside world. You are responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining our press work and planned traffic information. This involves handling immediate issues as well as building working methods and structures that stand the test of time. You will work closely with managers, traffic control, traffic planning, transport companies, and other stakeholders, playing a vital part in ensuring communication functions in a complex daily environment.

Your Role in Press Work

You are responsible for JLT's press function and serve as our primary contact with the media. This means you will:

Handle and coordinate press inquiries
Develop messages, press releases, and supporting materials
Ensure communication is cohesive and anchored within the organization
Support managers and spokespersons on media matters
Build relationships with the media and work proactively

In this role, you need to be able to make quick assessments and find the right level of communication, even when conditions change.

Your Role in Traffic Information

You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing traffic information regarding planned traffic changes and longer disruptions. The work is done in close collaboration with traffic planning, traffic control, transport companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders. You ensure that the information is clear, coordinated, and easy for passengers to understand.

Operational real-time traffic information is handled by traffic control, meaning your role has a clear focus on foresight, structure, and the big picture.

The position is permanent, full-time, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Your Profile

You have an academic education in communication, journalism, or another relevant field. A driver's license is a requirement for the position.

We believe you have experience in qualified communication work, preferably with a focus on press, media, or societal communication. You are used to taking personal responsibility and working in situations where the pace is high and many perspectives need to be weighed together.

You have:

Excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Good understanding of how media works and what becomes news
Experience in handling media contacts
Experience in crisis communication or similar event-driven work
The ability to quickly grasp complex information and make it understandable

As a person, you are confident in your judgment, see the big picture, and find it easy to collaborate with others. You get things done and can adapt when conditions change. We place great importance on personal suitability.
