Communicator for Habo Municipality

One of our two communicators will be on parental leave, and we are now looking for you who want to help develop communication in Habo Municipality during this time. If you are an engaged, driven, and service-oriented communicator, we believe you could fit in with us.

The position is located in the office and communications unit. The unit is part of the municipal management administration and is responsible for the municipality's overall communication, as well as switchboard and reception, archives, and the handling of municipal council matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the spring of 2026, we will be changing our external website. Therefore, your work over the coming year will largely consist of developing and maintaining a functioning management plan for the new website.

While the development of the external website has been ongoing, work on the internal one has had to take a back seat. By autumn, we want to refocus on our intranet and develop it to function cohesively and build culture for Habo Municipality's employees. How this will be done will largely be up to you.

In the unit's operational plan for 2026, there is also a focus on developing a strategy for social media and continuing the implementation of our place brand.

In addition to the aforementioned focus areas, the daily work consists largely of producing content for various channels, both analog and digital. We are a support function that assists all municipal administrations in choosing channels, analyzing target groups, formulating messages, and in media contacts. A large part of the work consists of production in the form of layout and text.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in media and communication studies or equivalent. Given the web focus we currently have, we particularly value your ability to handle the Swedish language well in writing and your good knowledge of plain language and web accessibility. Experience with Sitevision is an advantage. We expect you to have good knowledge of Adobe CC.

Valuable qualities for this position include good listening skills, adaptability, and curiosity about new technologies and working methods. Your job involves many contact points, and you have the ability to listen to needs, instill confidence, and create good relationships. You are development-oriented, can independently plan your own work, and you get things done.

Application documents will not be returned.
