The Role of Healthcare Administrator

As a healthcare administrator, you will work with referral management, appointment scheduling, and other administrative tasks. You will also be involved in medical documentation, which in radiology includes writing radiology reports and managing follow-ups and waiting lists. Your tasks will also include booking medical transport, reception work, telephone service, mail handling, being the IT contact person, publishing on the intranet, and handling insurance matters. You will work closely with eight other healthcare administrators and other professional groups within radiology.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Working hours are during the day on weekdays, Monday to Thursday from 07:15 to 16:30 and Friday from 07:15 to 15:15. In exceptional cases, work may occur on certain evenings and weekends, but this is rare.

Your Future Workplace

The X-ray department is a regional 24/7 clinic with about 380 employees located at the region's three hospitals: Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, Högland Hospital in Eksjö, and Värnamo Hospital. Approximately 70 people work in the X-ray department at Värnamo Hospital.

The X-ray department conducts modern, high-tech diagnostics and offers a wide and advanced range of examinations. We perform, among other things, vascular interventions, skeletal and lung X-rays, CT scans, mammography, ultrasound, PET-CT, and MRI.

We are certified according to ISO 9001:2015, and we continuously monitor our operations and make changes where necessary.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained healthcare administrator and believes it is important to create a good working environment together with your colleagues by spreading energy, joy, and new thoughts and ideas. As a trained healthcare administrator, you are used to expressing yourself in speech and writing, and you have a good linguistic understanding. You should also be interested in IT issues, and it is an advantage if you have experience working with the systems Enterprise Imaging, Scheduling, and Cosmic.

To thrive in this role, you are structured and take responsibility for your tasks, driving them in a planned, organized, and efficient manner. You enjoy helping others and find it easy to collaborate. You are flexible and service-oriented with a positive attitude.
