Your main workplace will be at Werket, which is our external archive facility a few hundred meters from the courthouse. The archive facilities have been newly renovated, and you will be sitting in a fresh and pleasant office landscape together with an archivist and two archive assistants working on similar tasks. The Göta Court of Appeal's archive contains documents from 1948, and if you were to lay all the documents side by side, they would stretch around Lake Munksjön in central Jönköping! There is a great interest in the documents among the public and media, and we issue about 10,000 requests for public documents each year.

The Göta Court of Appeal is one of six courts of appeal in Sweden, and our main task is to review cases and matters that are appealed from the district court. Our workplace is characterized by an open and welcoming climate with a total of about 115 employees. Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels.

To ensure an inclusive and fair recruitment process, the Swedish Courts apply competency-based recruitment. Our selection is based on candidates' competencies and merits. We kindly but firmly request no direct contact with staffing and recruitment companies or sellers of additional job advertisements.

We are looking for someone interested in working in the court's archive. In the archive, you will primarily work with the release of public documents and respond to inquiries regarding the ordering of judgments. Other tasks may include sorting files and decisions, handling files, or cataloging work.

As a student employee with us, you will gain valuable insights into how both a court and a government agency operate, providing you with valuable experiences for the future.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is studying full-time in law, communication, or other social science subjects. You should have completed approved studies equivalent to 60 higher education credits. You are a person who values accuracy and has a good ability to work in a structured manner. You thrive in an environment where flexibility and humility are important aspects.

To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the government values that guide the operations of the Swedish Courts. We require that you comply with applicable laws. Prior to a hiring decision, a background check may be conducted.

Please attach a cover letter, certificates, and transcripts from your studies, as well as any other documents that may be relevant to the position.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

Temporary employment under the Student Employee Agreement. As a student employee, you will work up to 25% of full-time, with scheduling done together with the recruiting manager. During certain periods, such as holidays, it may be possible to have a temporary position with a higher employment rate.
