At Tillväxtverket (The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth), we work towards competitive businesses and sustainable development throughout Sweden. We offer knowledge, networks, and investment opportunities, providing direct benefits to businesses and enabling companies, municipalities, and regions to meet future challenges. Tillväxtverket is a national authority with a regional presence in nine locations.
At Tillväxtverket's Simplification Department, we work to create simple contacts between businesses and authorities. If you are interested in societal development, this is the job for you. The department is responsible, among other things, for contributing to the development of content and services on verksamt.se, simplifying permit processes in close collaboration with responsible authorities, and reducing and simplifying the reporting obligations for businesses to authorities at national, regional, and municipal levels.
The unit for verksamt.se and digital collaboration is now seeking a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in developing digital contacts between authorities and businesses. This is a newly established position. You will work both independently and in teams, internally and externally. You will work closely with the unit manager, management groups, and equivalent roles at other authorities in a context with many assignments and interfaces.
About the position
The role involves driving projects and coordinating efforts within complex digital development at the national and EU levels, with a focus on simpler digital contacts between authorities and businesses. Responsibilities also include keeping abreast of and showing interest in state administration, governance, and directives, as well as requirements and regulatory packages from the EU that may affect authorities' contacts with the target group of businesses and vice versa. You need experience, direct or indirect, working with Sweden's digital infrastructure (Ena), as many of the initiatives we drive and will drive involve solutions built on this infrastructure.
Your place of work will be: Stockholm, Östersund, Malmö, or Jönköping. Travel may be required.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Education from a university, college, or university college equivalent to at least three years of studies in political science, economics, management, natural sciences, or communication.
- At least seven years of experience in the role of a Business Development Manager within digital contacts between authorities and businesses.
- At least two years of experience, direct or indirect, working with Sweden's digital infrastructure (Ena).
- Extensive experience in driving or participating in digitalization projects in collaboration between several public actors.
- Very good knowledge of the governance of Swedish public administration, EU legislation, and other directives and legislation affecting businesses.
- Very good knowledge of regulations and reporting obligations affecting businesses.
- Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
The following is considered an asset:
- Experience of self-employment
- Conducted or participated in one or more government inquiries
- Experience of inter-agency collaboration
As a person, we are looking for someone who works result-oriented with their tasks. You are flexible and pragmatic, have good collaboration skills, and well-developed self-leadership. Your communication skills are good, and you have the ability to pedagogically communicate and package inquiries, proposals, and preliminary studies.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
We expect you to live up to our employee and manager policy (https://tillvaxtverket.se/tillvaxtverket/omtillvaxtverket/jobbahososs/fordelarmedattjobbahososs/medarbetarochchefspolicy.600.html), which expresses the expectations we have of all employees.
We assume that you share our value system, which is the state value system (https://www.statskontoret.se/fokusomraden/god-forvaltningskultur-och-antikorruption/den-statliga-vardegrunden/). It unites all civil servants, regardless of activity and profession. The value system aims to create an administration that is efficient, secure in terms of the rule of law, and free from corruption and abuse of power.
