As Team Leader for Armaments & Fire Control Systems at BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, you will play a key role in developing advanced weapon, sight, and ammunition systems for our vehicle platforms, such as the CV90 and tracked vehicle systems.
We are entering an expansive period with many parallel projects and technical challenges. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to both technical development and future defense solutions.
Your Future Challenge
As Team Leader within Armaments & Fire Control Systems, you will join a unit with 14 employees and several consultants. You will lead and develop the team while ensuring technical quality and delivery capability.
The role includes:
- Coaching and developing the group's engineers
- Planning, prioritizing, and following up on activities and deliveries
- Coordinating work with projects, systems engineers, and customers
- Driving development from early concepts to testing and verification
- Representing the group in technical discussions and requirement definition
You will have many points of contact and be involved in the entire product cycle, from idea to verified solution.
The team works broadly and is responsible for developing weapon, sight, and ammunition systems for CV90 and tracked vehicle platforms. The work includes 3D design in Catia V5, technical analysis, testing and verification, as well as concept development in close collaboration with the systems department.
The role combines practical engineering work with strategic leadership in a technically advanced environment.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and leadership. You have:
- An engineering degree in mechanics, mechatronics, or equivalent
- Experience in development work, preferably in mechanical design
- The ability to create structure, engage, and lead others
- Good communication skills and a desire to develop both people and technology
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
Experience from the defense, vehicle, or industrial sector is considered an asset.

The position is a permanent employment based in Örnsköldsvik.
