About the Role

As a technical writer, you will belong to the Technical Publications unit, which consists of 63 people including group leaders, project managers, technical writers, and documentation specialists.

The Technical Publications department is the part of ILS that analyzes, plans, and produces manuals for respective projects. The recipients of our manuals are primarily BAE Systems Hägglunds customers, but also internally within various departments of the company.

Your Future Challenge

As a technical writer for user and maintenance manuals, you will work on producing product documentation for the military vehicles we develop.

Your tasks will include:

• Collecting product information and system descriptions
• Analyzing product information and drawings
• Processing and refining product information into easy-to-understand and pedagogical texts and images.
• Participating in internal project meetings

The work is project-based, and the information is developed in collaboration with project managers, designers, and maintenance engineers.

Who You Are

You are analytical and have a good ability to quickly understand a technical system. You can also gather and manage technical information from various sources to combine and develop it at a high pedagogical level into easy-to-understand manuals and instructions. We prefer that you have experience working with XML-based module management in database format, and key competencies include:

• Corena KCM
• STE (Simplified Technical English)
• Arbortext
• Azure DevOps
• S1000D

As a person, you are structured, have a strong drive, and take responsibility for your deliveries. Since our projects are often complex with many interfaces, it is also important that you are communicative, collaborative, and proactive.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is a requirement as we operate in an international environment.

Experience in vehicle technology/military vehicles is an advantage.

You understand CAD drawings and navigate CAD programs.

We prefer that you have a technical education or other technical background, preferably in software or electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
