About the position

ONE Nordic Hydro is a leading player in electrical and control equipment for hydropower. With a strong market position and several of the most exciting contracts in the industry, they are helping to set the standard for both technology development and sustainability.

In the role of automation engineer, you will be a key person in contract and development projects where automation, PLC/HMI programming, and control systems are in focus. You will have the opportunity to work both technically and project-oriented, from requirements specification to commissioning and follow-up. You will be an important part of both the implementation and further development of automation systems within hydropower.

Job responsibilities

  • Program and configure automation systems (PLC/HMI), e.g., Siemens (TIA/Step 7)
  • Participate in technical requirements specification and design of control systems
  • Assist in testing and commissioning on-site
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving during project execution
  • Be responsible for technical documentation and delivery materials
  • Support project teams in both small and large projects where automation is a central component

We are looking for someone who

  • Has post-secondary education in automation, electrical engineering, control engineering, or equivalent
  • Has advanced knowledge in automation
  • Has advanced knowledge of PLC/HMI programming (preferably Siemens)
  • Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work
  • Holds a B driver's license as travel is required in the position

The position is security classified, which means that a security check will be conducted before employment. The security check includes a background check and a security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
