Do you want to work closely with both management and operations on technical improvements, development, and support in daily production? Then this might be the right opportunity for you.

Högland Såg & Hyvleri is looking for an Electrical and Automation Technician who wants to take an important role in strengthening operational reliability and developing our facilities.

With us, you will have an important role in a family-owned industrial business with short decision-making paths, great personal responsibility, and good opportunities to influence both working methods and technical solutions. Here, knowledge, initiative, and a willingness to develop are highly valued.

About the role

As an Electrical and Automation Technician, you will become an important part of our maintenance organization and work closely with operations, maintenance staff, and external partners.

The focus of the role is on technical improvements and the development of our facilities and processes. When needed, you will also support during more complex operational disturbances. The role suits you if you want to work long-term with responsibility, structure, and development.

You will have the opportunity to influence how maintenance work develops in our three production facilities, with good opportunities to take on greater responsibility within production and maintenance in the long run.

What you will be working with

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance within electrical and automation systems
  • Collaboration with mechanics and production in daily work
  • Planning and coordination of maintenance activities within your area of responsibility
  • Documentation and work in our maintenance system
  • Coordination with external electricians and automation specialists during investments and projects
  • Electrical safety work, inspections, and controls

The work is varied and ranges from planning and investment meetings to troubleshooting activities in close collaboration with engaged colleagues. Workdays have a clear structure but are also characterized by the variation and priorities that arise in the business.

We would like you to have

  • Education in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent, at least at high school level
  • Experience of industrial electrical work and maintenance work in a production environment
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and control systems
  • Class B driver's license

Furthermore, if you have further education in electrical engineering or automation, for example through higher studies or authorization as an electrician (preferably Class A), we view this positively. Experience in developing working methods within maintenance is also valuable.

To thrive in the role, we believe you

  • Have a strong technical interest and enjoy solving problems
  • Take responsibility and drive your work forward
  • Work in a structured, careful manner with good foresight
  • Are unpretentious and collaborate well with others
  • Are curious and want to contribute to the development of both technology and working methods

We work according to our values: Respect, Performance, and Well-being. With us, people who are proactive, solution-oriented, and engaged in improvement work often thrive and succeed.

About the team

You will step into an important role in our maintenance organization where you work closely with mechanics, production, the maintenance manager, and external technology partners. Here, there are short decision-making paths, close collaboration, and a strong focus on both solving daily needs and developing the facility long-term together.

You will have great personal responsibility within electrical and automation systems while having colleagues around you who know the business well and are happy to collaborate to ensure production runs stably and efficiently.

Why you should choose to work with us

  • An important role where you get to influence development within electrical and automation systems
  • Great freedom under responsibility in daily work
  • A family-friendly workplace with close collaboration and good cohesion
  • A stable employer with strong local roots
  • Opportunity to develop within technology, maintenance, leadership, and improvement work
