Lead Designer for Body & Hatches

Your Future Challenge

We are now looking for a lead designer for Body & Hatches, which consists of 12 experienced employees and several consultants.

As a designer in grilles & hatches, you will have a free and independent role with great opportunities to express your creativity in design. You will also have the chance to develop into an expert in the field and you will receive the support you need to succeed!

Your main area of work will be in grilles and hatches for the platforms of tanks and tracked vehicles. You will be an important part of the development and design of new systems as well as the modification of our existing ones. A large part of the work will be done in the 3D CAD program Catia v5. The role also includes conducting interesting analyses and controls as well as participating in testing and verification processes.

The development of our vehicles always takes place in close collaboration with the customer. Therefore, the work also includes adapting the systems to meet both our customers' requirements and our internal ones. Your contact points in the role will be many. With your specialist knowledge, you will support the systems department in developing conceptual designs, and when the systems are to be assembled, you will be on-site in production and/or at the customer.

Reporting will be to the group manager. Daily work is project-based, so in these tasks, you will report to the team leader or sub-project leader.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is driven, desires a lead designer role in a technical area, and can lead other designers. You also have a creative streak and an interest and desire to become an expert in the field.

We believe you are an educated mechanical engineer or have equivalent practical experience. You have several years of experience in mechanical design work and good knowledge of 3D CAD.

Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
