About the Role

Do you want to help develop the energy solutions of the future and contribute to strengthening Vattenfall's position in a rapidly changing market?

As a Product & Business Developer, you will work on initiatives spanning the entire development chain – from early concepts and regulatory analyses to product plans and the implementation of new systems. The role is central to ensuring that Vattenfall continues to offer competitive and compliant products and is well-prepared as market design, regulations, and customer needs evolve.

With us, you will become part of the Nordic Commodities Corporate team, based primarily in Solna, with colleagues in Helsinki and Umeå. You will work in close collaboration with R&D, the sales organization, IT, legal, and several other functions within Vattenfall, reporting to the Head of Commodities Corporate.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Develop new businesses and business models, including analysis of profitability, scalability, and regulatory conditions.
• Drive the development of new products that require new systems, processes, or organizational capabilities.
• Interpret and translate changes in regulations and market design into business and product consequences.
• Act as a bridge between strategy, regulations, technology, and operations – ensuring ideas become reality.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant higher education in e.g., engineering, economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Good understanding of the electricity market, including market design and value drivers.
• Experience in product development, business development, strategy, or similar roles.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and under market or regulatory uncertainty.
• Ability to structure complex problems and translate them into clear plans and decisions.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and confident working in complex environments. You have a commercial and systems-oriented perspective and can balance long-term strategic development with practical execution power.

You thrive in close collaboration with others and view cross-functional work as an essential part of success. You are accustomed to preparing and presenting decision-making materials for various target groups, including management.

You are curious, proactive, and motivated by both improving what exists and exploring new opportunities. For you, development is not just about ideas – but about making them work in reality.
