As a Project Manager for Railway Structures at Trafikverket, you will help facilitate daily life for residents and businesses across Sweden by contributing to the infrastructure of the future.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for directing and leading projects within the maintenance and reinvestment of primarily railway bridges and railway tunnels. This involves planning, budgeting, participating in the procurement process, and monitoring and managing procured consultants and contractors. Within the project framework, you will allocate work for both internal and external support resources and specialists. The role includes financial responsibility for the projects, and you will continuously monitor operations against set targets regarding time, cost, and content. Several of your projects will be carried out in a railway environment, which places high demands on structure and coordination.

You will contribute to the professional management of our suppliers, meaning you will be part of the journey to further improve our working methods and practices to act as a professional client.

You are proactive, structured, and quality-conscious in your commitments and possess good analytical problem-solving skills. You express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish. We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree with a technical focus of 180 credits (120p) or equivalent education combined with experience that we can assess as equivalent.
  • Several years of current experience within construction and infrastructure as a project manager, deputy project manager, construction manager, site manager, or similar experience deemed equivalent by Trafikverket.
  • Current knowledge of contract law in one or more of the areas AB/ABT/ABK and AMA.
  • Relevant experience of working in projects with structures such as bridges or tunnels.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • A driver's license for passenger cars.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Relevant work experience with construction projects within the railway sector.

Additional Information
