The Hospital Properties area SU (Sahlgrenska University Hospital), which is part of Västfastigheter construction and management, is responsible for customer relations, properties, their technical systems, and development to create safe and robust premises in a socially important operation.

We carry out maintenance, tenant adaptations, renovations, and new constructions of hospital properties in Gothenburg. The units within the area are responsible for the management, rental, and development of Östra Hospital, Sahlgrenska Hospital, Mölndal Hospital, Högsbo Hospital, and Rågården forensic psychiatry.

We are now looking for a new project manager for Östra Hospital who will drive technical projects primarily within property automation, but also to some extent HVAC.

Responsibilities

As a project manager with us, you will lead technical projects within property automation and to some extent HVAC. You will act as a client representative and be responsible for driving and overseeing investment, reinvestment, and maintenance projects from early stages to completed construction. You will be responsible for procurement and engagement of necessary consultants and contractors and ensure their deliveries. Your area of responsibility includes monitoring project goals regarding results, budget, time, quality, energy, environment, and reuse. The role is broad as projects vary in size and complexity, and you will drive several parallel projects simultaneously.

You will report to the project owner and the project's steering groups, and collaborate with working groups consisting of those who will operate in our buildings and industry specialists. You will also be responsible for authority contacts, ensuring that necessary permits are obtained and that laws and requirements are followed. You will carry out projects with support and coordination from internal technical resources as well as external resources.

You will primarily work on projects at Östra Hospital, but may, if necessary, drive projects at other hospital sites within the area as there is significant collaboration between the hospitals. In this role, you will work from our activity-based office at Regionens Hus in Gothenburg, but since projects are driven from our project offices at hospital sites, your workplace will vary depending on project needs.

Qualifications

You are an educated civil or university engineer in property automation and/or HVAC, or have other education and experience deemed equivalent. You are accustomed to and enjoy independently leading technical projects within property automation and/or HVAC, including budget responsibility, financial management, and follow-up, as well as building a project organization. Experience with construction contracts, preferably with a focus on collaboration and knowledge of contract law, is advantageous. If you have worked in accordance with LOU, that is also a merit. Your ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, is very good.
