Job Responsibilities

In the unit for project planning and development, we work to support the managers of the project and investment department with leadership and governance, administrative support, and to drive department-wide development assignments.

As part of our work, we also deliver calculations and cost estimates in all phases of the projects and manage the department's overall portfolio structure.

To support our project managers as builders, we are now looking for a workplace safety expert project manager. In your role, you will create a better and safer working environment at our construction sites, thereby preventing ill health and accidents.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As an expert, you will review documents from a workplace safety perspective. You will support project managers with expertise in BAS-P and BAS-U, where you will assist in establishing the prerequisites in the planning phase to ensure buildability and that the documentation for the contractor is sufficiently substantiated so that we provide the contractors with the right conditions.
  • In the event of accidents and incidents, you will act as a support for those involved and will also be the one who reports, follows up, and provides feedback.
  • You will lead workplace safety rounds at our construction sites, including environmental rounds as a complement to the contractor's rounds, and provide support and guidance to contractors on how they can create a better working environment.
  • You are a key link during the workplace inspections we conduct, after which you analyze and support the organization in appropriate steps forward.
  • You will support project managers in taking action/stopping construction when the working environment does not meet standards.

Furthermore, you will work with:

  • following up on the contractor's obligations
  • monitoring the external environment and implementing new requirements in management
  • training project managers in workplace safety
  • ensuring that we follow our routines.

Qualifications

We believe you have a master's degree/bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or another equivalent education. You have extensive experience with contracts and workplace safety issues on construction sites. You are trained in workplace safety.

With your attentiveness and good communication skills, you can explain to different groups what the workplace safety area entails in practice in a pedagogical manner. You find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships both internally and externally, which contributes to a positive attitude towards the workgroup.
