Few cities have the development potential that exists here. The planning of future Gothenburg is a team effort with many involved, and the City Property Management has a central role in this challenge. The Project and Investment Department has the important task of carrying out projects for leasing, new construction, renovation, and maintenance to meet the city's needs for schools, preschools, elderly homes, and housing with special services. The department currently manages around 1000 projects in parts of, or throughout, the construction and leasing process from feasibility study to handover and warranty management. The department has a turnover of nearly three billion SEK per year.
Your Responsibilities:
In the role of Assistant Project Manager, your responsibility is to drive projects at various stages together with a colleague. In your role, you support project managers with administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, forecasts, and project plans, as well as parts of leadership. As an Assistant Project Manager with us, you will primarily work with leasing projects.

Our unit consists of 13 employees with various backgrounds such as economists, local brokers/advisors, architects, construction project managers, and property managers. We are organized into three teams where we meet regularly for collegial support and advice on various issues. In the unit, we primarily work with leasing projects, although other types of projects, such as new construction and renovation, also occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the real estate industry or project management in theory and/or practice. You have relevant higher education or vocational training in areas such as project management, construction technology, economics, law, or public administration. Alternatively, you may be deemed to have sufficient knowledge for the position through work experience. Experience in any of the following is an advantage:
- driving some form of project
- leasing or renting premises
- working in public administration
Furthermore, we believe that you are a humble and attentive person who thrives when collaborating with others. You are communicative and have the ability to operate from a holistic perspective where the overall mission of the management is taken into account. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and have a positive attitude towards new challenges. Your curiosity is an important success factor as you learn to navigate the City Property Management's organization, support systems, and project processes.
The position is a temporary contract for 11 months with the possibility of extension.

The City Property Management creates environments where life can take place by planning, building, leasing, managing, and developing premises and outdoor environments for the City of Gothenburg's operations. Every day, hundreds of thousands of Gothenburg residents are active in preschools, schools, care and nursing homes, and other premises that we manage.
Together with the City Environment Administration, the Exploitation Administration, and the City Planning Administration, we have a coordinated responsibility for urban development in the City of Gothenburg. This entails a shared distribution of responsibilities and roles based on stages: planning, implementation, and management with the goal of contributing to a cohesive, efficient, and transparent urban development for residents, visitors, and businesses in the city.
