The City Service Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in the City of Mölndal. The administration has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four operational areas: meals and cleaning, water and recycling, city maintenance, and staff and customer service.
City Maintenance has approximately 150 employees who manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's public environments. We are responsible for properties, streets, parks, and green spaces, as well as other indoor and outdoor areas. Through our work, we contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant city for residents and visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a construction worker at the Outdoor Facilities unit, you will receive varied and practical work. The work mainly involves constructing new and renovating existing activity sites, playgrounds, and parks. You will work with earthworks and the construction of various structures.
Daily work also includes operating smaller construction machinery such as wheel loaders, dumpers, and excavators. Tasks also include stone setting, simple construction and carpentry work, as well as park work and other interventions in the outdoor environment.
During the winter half-year, the work may involve tree felling, forest clearing, as well as snow removal and winter road maintenance.
We often collaborate across unit boundaries to be as efficient as possible, which means that other tasks within the operational area may also occur.
On-call work may also occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with at least a high school education and several years of experience in the construction and civil engineering sector, preferably with a focus on earthworks and construction.
You have experience operating construction machinery and are accustomed to working with stone setting, construction and carpentry work, or park work. It is an asset if you also have experience with forest clearing and tree felling.
It is also an asset if you have education or experience in occupational health and safety, road work (levels 1-2), hot/fire-hazardous work, chainsaw ABC, clearing saws, as well as work with lifting devices or boom lifts.
You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks while also enjoying working in a group. You have a positive and respectful attitude and actively contribute to a good work climate.
The role requires flexibility as both tasks and conditions may vary. It is also important that you enjoy working outdoors, as the majority of the work is performed outdoors year-round.
A Class B driver's license is a requirement.
