Responsibilities

Your primary focus as a Third Line Tech is to be the technical final stop in Norteam's support organization; you are the one who takes over when cases & various technical problems are at their most complex. You work with in-depth troubleshooting, system improvement, and technical development of your customers' IT environments. You are an important knowledge resource for the entire support team and actively contribute to raising the quality of deliveries.

Furthermore, you will handle escalated incidents, drive improvement projects, and participate in technical migrations and upgrades. You work closely with the infrastructure and security teams and are often the one with direct contact with suppliers and partners during complex installations.

Below is a selection of tasks you can expect in this role:

  • Solve advanced technical problems within networks, servers, and applications
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement long-term solutions
  • Work with public cloud solutions within Microsoft, such as Azure and M365
  • Participate in projects regarding system upgrades and technical development
  • Document solutions and contribute to Norteam's internal knowledge base
  • Act as a mentor and technical support for First and Second Line
  • Work with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
  • Ensure that customers' IT environments are stable, secure, and scalable

We Are Looking For You Who

  • Have good knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/Intune
  • Have experience with network troubleshooting, firewalls, VPN, and WiFi
  • Have experience with public cloud solutions and/or virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Have knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting
  • Have experience working with security, backup, and access management

It Is Meritorious If You Have

  • Understanding of ITIL and how to create relevant documentation
  • Certifications from Microsoft or equivalent

We believe that you, the applicant, are an experienced IT technician with several years of experience in support, operations, and complex troubleshooting – preferably in Second or Third Line roles. You have deep and broad technical competence, but also a strong sense of service and communication. We are looking for someone whose specialty is technical breadth.

Norteam is a Microsoft-oriented IT provider, but it is a great advantage if you are accustomed to several different technical environments. Furthermore, you are a flexible person who enjoys working at different levels and loves taking on new technical challenges. You are self-reliant and proactive with a solution-oriented mindset. You take responsibility, drive cases all the way to completion, and contribute to continuous improvements. Your technical competence allows you to handle complex challenges, and your experience gives you the confidence to make decisions and stand by them.
