Do you want to work on land access issues that shape and improve future infrastructure? We are currently looking for a Land Negotiator based in Gothenburg. As a Land Negotiator, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and support vital road and railway projects of varying complexity and scope!

Responsibilities

Trafikverket is now seeking a Land Negotiator for Gothenburg! In this role, you will be responsible for land access issues, which includes negotiating compensation for the purchase of and encroachment on properties, drafting real estate agreements, handling damage regulation and disputes, participating in planning and design work, and representing Trafikverket in land surveying proceedings and other contacts with authorities and individual property owners.

This is a varied role where you will work both independently and together with your colleagues. You will be involved in the entire chain from planning and design, through the construction phase, to the handover of the completed facility. Projects can range from major railway projects to road projects and level crossings in rural areas. The work sometimes involves meetings outside of regular office hours, such as public consultation meetings, property owner meetings, and land survey meetings.

Qualifications

Who are you?

As a person, we see that you are proactive, independently identify what needs to be done and act accordingly, utilizing your strong problem-solving skills. Since the work involves many contacts with property owners, the public, and other stakeholders, it is important to be a good relationship builder who creates new networks, nurtures existing ones, and inspires trust. You have strong communication skills, convey messages in a simple and perceptive manner, and adapt your communication to the recipient. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, keep the entire organization in mind, and share the information needed to achieve desired results.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in land surveying, or alternatively another relevant academic education combined with experience that Trafikverket assesses as equivalent.
  • has several years of current and relevant work experience in real estate law issues.
  • has excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • holds a driver's license for passenger cars.

It is an advantage if you:

  • have current and relevant work experience in valuation and negotiation within the real estate law field.
  • have current and relevant work experience in land access issues.
  • have current and relevant work experience in real estate law issues within the infrastructure and/or civil engineering process.
