About the Department
The Department of Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KIT) operates at ten hospitals in Skåne and employs over 200 staff members. The department is responsible for laboratory activities within clinical immunology, transfusion medicine, and transplantation immunology, as well as blood donation in Skåne. KIT has a mission to supply the healthcare system in Region Skåne with high-quality blood components to enable modern healthcare for both acute and chronic conditions. The department is accredited, and certain parts of the operations are centralized in Lund. We are organized into processes with a unit manager, medical director, and process leader working in close collaboration.

Job Responsibilities
We now have the opportunity to welcome a biomedical analyst to the KIT unit in Lund!
Your tasks will include independently performing laboratory work, assessing and technically approving analysis results, as well as proposing measures and troubleshooting when necessary. This is done in close collaboration with the medical directors and your colleagues. Furthermore, you will work on developing new working methods and routines to support continuous improvement. You will also participate in the training and education of students.
With us, you will be offered a responsible, developmental, and highly independent role within transplantation immunology, working in close collaboration with units performing transplants. You will work with analyses performed before and after heart, lung, and kidney transplants, utilizing molecular biological and serological methods. As our laboratories are accredited, you are also expected to actively contribute to our quality work.
Your working hours are primarily during the day on weekdays. However, once you have acquired the competence to join our on-call line, you will be on standby for work both day and night, as well as on weekdays and weekends, according to a schedule.
Qualifications
We welcome you if you are a licensed biomedical analyst authorized to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. We prefer that you have previous experience of laboratory work and a strong interest in technology, analysis programs, and IT. It is also an asset if you have worked with analyses performed using Luminex.
