Assignment

As a psychologist, you will become an important part of the central child and student health service. Here, psychologists, counselors, school nurses, school doctors, and speech therapists work together in a non-competitive and development-oriented climate. The operation consists of 26 employees and is based on the Guidelines for Student Health and the mandate of the School Act.

You will work both in the central, interdisciplinary Child and Student Health service and close to two primary school units (including adapted primary school). In the schools' local student health, you will collaborate with, among others, the principal, school nurse, counselor, special educator, and special teacher. Your contribution is to strengthen the psychological perspective in the school's promoting, preventive, and remedial work.

As a psychologist with us, you have great personal responsibility and good opportunities to independently plan your work. The psychologist group consists of four psychologists, one of whom will be on parental leave during one school year. The group meets regularly for collegial learning, development work, and external supervision.

The role includes, among other things:

• conducting psychological investigations and assessments
• diagnosing intellectual disabilities
• providing supervision and consultation at the organizational, group, and individual levels
• contributing to the school's health-promoting and preventive development work
• offering competence development based on psychological expertise
• being part of the organization's crisis management
• providing advice on children's development, behavior, and learning environment

The student health work in the municipality is strongly focused on accessible learning environments, inclusion, and early interventions – which will be natural starting points in your work.

Competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have experience of psychological work, preferably within primary school, high school, or adapted school. You should have a great commitment to children and young people and have a genuine interest in further developing your profession. There is an opportunity to offer a PTP (Professional Training Program) position for one year.

Your approach should be focused on identifying strengths and resources and emphasizing the individual's opportunities for development in behavior and interaction.

A B-class driver's license is a requirement for the position.

Working hours/duration

Temporary full-time position during the period 2026‑08‑10 – 2027‑06‑20, alternatively a PTP position for one year starting 2026‑08‑10.
