Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four acute hospitals. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock.

In the day surgery department, adults and children over one year old are cared for from all surgical specialties as well as the endoscopy and radiology departments. We are a combined admission department for patients who proceed to inpatient care while we also conduct day surgery. The pre- and post-operative care takes place in the department. We have both planned and subacute operations. The department is open Monday to Friday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for you who are a nurse with a great interest in pre- and post-operative care!

In the role of nurse in the day surgery department, you will work with pre- and post-operative care as well as care for patients with increased monitoring needs or a higher level of care. We also function as an admission department for patients who proceed to inpatient care after surgery. Your work is very varied, and we provide service to all types of surgical specialties.

To help you as a new employee integrate into your role as smoothly as possible, we offer an individual introduction based on your previous experiences and skills. Additionally, you will receive internal training.

The advertisement refers to a fixed-term employment between 2026-04-20 and 2027-08-26, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. We would like you to have experience in pre- and post-operative care, and it is also meritorious if you have experience in any of the following: emergency care, surgery, orthopedics, urology, and/or gynecology. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have previously worked with relevant IT systems in healthcare, such as Orbit and Melior.

You who are applying appreciate challenges and flexibility in your work and have a positive attitude towards both patients and colleagues. It is important that you enjoy and function well in communicating and collaborating in teams both with your own and other professions. Additionally, you are good at planning and prioritizing between different tasks and are meticulous and work both systematically and safely for patients even in situations when the pace is high. Your skills are important, and we expect you to share and contribute both knowledge and experiences with your colleagues.
