About the role
We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser with breadth, drive, and an analytical approach. In this role, you will primarily work with the procurement of indirect materials – such as IT systems, consulting services, machinery, contracting, and other categories requested by the business.

You will also serve as a key support to the direct materials team. This means you will be responsible for and drive activities related to the establishment of new suppliers, such as:

• Execution of checklists, risk analyses, and supplier assessments
• Coordination of onboarding activities
• Leading internal and external project meetings
• Preparation and execution of contract negotiations

The role also includes:

• Strategic procurement of indirect categories
• Supplier evaluation, contract work, and negotiation
• Project management during the establishment of new suppliers
• Risk assessment and qualification of suppliers
• Support to the direct materials team in procurement-related projects
• Monitoring of key suppliers and supply security
• Contributing to the development of processes and working methods within procurement

About the assignment
The position is full-time with a start date of May 1st – December 31st, 2026, with the possibility of extension until May 30th, 2027. You will be employed by Adecco and work on-site at the client in Västerås or Stora Sundby.
