The adapted school is located in three different schools in the municipality, and in this recruitment, we are looking for a special teacher for the adapted school in Målilla for students in grades F-6 as well as an adapted high school in Hultsfred.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want the opportunity to develop as an educator and person in an accepting and creative work group? To be part of a team where everyone's participation is seen as positive to create the best conditions for our students? We are now looking for special teachers for the adapted school who will be part of the adapted school's work team and work with students in the Individual and National programs at the adapted high school and adapted primary school grades 4-6 in Målilla. You will work closely with student assistants and other teaching educators to create a meaningful and enjoyable school day for our students.

We are looking for someone with experience teaching Swedish, mathematics, English, and social studies. Your tasks will be planned based on where the students are in their knowledge. Together, we work to shape harmonious children and young people with self-confidence. We provide students with the tools they need to succeed in further studies and continue to develop and learn for life. Our aim is that influence, responsibility, clear wholes, and meaningful contexts should characterize the activities so that students perceive schoolwork as challenging, meaningful, and interesting. Student influence is a very important part of our work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained special teacher with a focus on functional variations, alternatively a teacher or special educator with authorization to teach at the adapted school. Knowledge and/or experience of neuropsychiatric variations and students with special needs is an advantage. Students at the adapted school need a lot of support, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the students' development. As a teacher in the adapted school form, you need to have the ability to work across subjects and democratically with students. You need to see students' differences as enriching and work from a relational approach. We are looking for someone with a view of humanity and knowledge that aligns with the described working methods. We want you to be engaged, flexible, and willing to think new and differently with the student's best interests in mind. You will become an important person in the work around the adapted school's students. Therefore, we see that you can collaborate with your closest colleagues in the work team, other staff who meet our students, as well as guardians and external actors such as Habilitation. You make conscious choices to enhance students' motivation and work with clarifying pedagogy. You are positive and creative, see opportunities rather than obstacles, and enjoy working practically. You take responsibility for the whole and see collegial learning and good relationships as a success factor for succeeding in your mission. We place great importance on personal suitability.
