Funkaboskolan is located just north of Kalmar city center and is one of the oldest schools in the city. The catchment area extends from Ölandsleden in the south to Krafslösa in the north. To the east, we border Kalmarsund and to the west, Norra vägen. Funkaboskolan is a K-9 school with about 870 students and 115 staff.

Funkaboskolan offers the following services:

• Preschool class
• Elementary school grades 1-9

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who can teach mathematics and preferably another subject in grades 7-9 and contribute to the development of our middle school activities.

Your role includes:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on applicable governing documents.
• Creating a clear, safe, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
• Collaborating with colleagues in both subject teams and work teams.
• Actively contributing to the school's quality and development work.
• Being a mentor for a group of students and working closely with student health and guardians.

You will be part of an engaged and competent team where we help each other, share experiences, and develop teaching together.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics, and preferably another subject in grades 7-9.
• Has good didactic skills and a strong commitment to students' learning.
• Is structured, responsible, and has the ability to create clarity in teaching.
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• Sees digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

Experience teaching in elementary school is an advantage, as is experience working with formative assessment and differentiated instruction.

If you have previously worked as a teacher, that is a merit.
