Workplace

At the Economic Crime Authority in Stockholm, there are three economic crime chambers, one financial market chamber, and one police operational unit. We are now looking for one or more senior prosecutors for one of the economic crime chambers.

Job Responsibilities

At the chamber, prosecutors, police officers, investigators in areas such as auditing and analysis, and administrators work together. Investigations are conducted in workgroups tailored to the scope and complexity of the case. The various competencies work together in teams based on the assignment to effectively investigate and prosecute economic crime. The prosecutor drives the preliminary investigation from the moment a case is received until it is concluded.

As a senior prosecutor, you are expected to handle all types of cases and take significant responsibility for the entire chamber's operations and results, even outside your own unit. As a senior prosecutor, you will share your expertise in daily work and may receive assignments as a mentor and educator.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Is or has been a chamber prosecutor
• Is confident in the prosecutor role and has great skill in various aspects of the profession
• Has the ability to drive complicated investigations effectively

In assessing skill, both prosecutorial experience and other experience in qualified legal work relevant to the role of prosecutor will be considered. Furthermore, we will take into account the ability to lead preliminary investigations, litigation, and legal knowledge.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience with cases related to economic crime, other business-related or property law crimes
• Experience with investigations concerning organized crime
• Experience using covert coercive measures
• Experience with investigations with international connections
• Experience with criminal exchange issues and insolvency law
• Good digital competence and the ability to learn new programs and systems
