Land Development Engineer for the Community Planning Unit

We are looking for an experienced land development engineer to join the land development group of the community planning unit, ready to lead complex land development projects.

The community planning unit works proactively to promote the council's overarching mission of no disadvantaged areas, more job opportunities, and reduced climate impact by 2030.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of developing Sollentuna. As a land development engineer, you will work as a project manager and be employed in the community planning unit's land development group, consisting of about 12 sharp colleagues.

Your work will involve developing Sollentuna's future urban environment. As a land development engineer, you will lead the municipality's land development projects from early stages to implementation. You will work broadly with land development issues from technical, economic, and legal perspectives.

Other Responsibilities;

In this role, you will lead and contribute to exciting land development projects – from idea to implementation. You will negotiate and establish property legal agreements, such as land allocation and development agreements, and produce clear calculations to support the decision-making process. You will drive land allocation competitions, actively participate in detailed planning work, and handle issues related to land surveying. You will be responsible for the purchase and sale of properties within the framework of the projects and produce well-founded investigations and reports that contribute to the municipality's development.

Your Background;

• Several years of experience leading land development projects within municipal operations or the private sector.
• Good experience working with property law and property legal agreements.
• Experience working in politically governed organizations and comfort in handling complex decision-making processes.
• Very good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as property law, PBL, and contract law.
• Skilled negotiator with the ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience in producing documents, decision support materials, and communicating with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Higher education or university degree in urban planning or other education/experience deemed equivalent.

You are structured and self-driven, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work forward. You have good analytical skills and solve complex problems with a methodical approach. Your financial awareness ensures that you work cost-effectively and commercially.
