As a Design Manager, you will play a central role in the execution of larger and complex infrastructure projects in the Stockholm area. You are responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating the design work while ensuring that the design is carried out according to set requirements regarding time, cost, quality, work environment, and safety.

You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, and other functions within the project organization, as well as collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders. The role also involves representing the client side in technical dialogues and meetings, as well as contributing to effective coordination between different technical disciplines in the design process.

In the role of design manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on the design work in one or more larger infrastructure projects.

You ensure that the design is carried out according to contract documents and set requirements, and that technical solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and meet the project's goals. You lead design meetings, follow up on deliveries, and ensure good coordination between different technical disciplines.

Furthermore, you will lead and coordinate technical reviews, follow up on technical models, and manage risks and deviations within the design work. You will also work with monitoring schedules, costs, and design deliveries and report progress and status to project management.

The role also involves collaborating with contractors during production and contributing to effective coordination between design and construction production.

• At least 9 years of experience in a leading role within design management or project management in larger construction, public transport, or infrastructure projects

• Experience from projects with a total budget of at least 300 million SEK

• At least 5 years of experience in designing complex concrete and rock structures in larger construction projects

• At least 5 years of experience in following up on technical models created within design organizations

• At least 3 years of experience working with or delivering to public clients

• Master's degree in civil engineering, construction technology, or equivalent, or other relevant engineering education combined with extensive work experience

• BAS-P training (valid and updated)

• Experience leading design in both system design and construction design phases in larger construction projects

• Experience leading design work during the production phase in close collaboration with contractors

• Over 12 years of experience in design management in larger infrastructure projects

• At least 5 years of experience working with public clients

• Experience in joint reviews of technical models and documents from different technical disciplines in complex projects, for example with tools like Bluebeam or similar

• Experience in project handover to management organizations
