We are now looking for a new colleague to our team within the LSS group.

In the LSS group, we work across the municipality with individual persons of varying ages, both children and adults who have been granted personal assistance. For this assignment, we are looking for personal assistants who will work together with adults with acquired brain injuries. The position will be a combination role where you will work as a personal assistant in the individual's home, as well as in a daily activity center focused on individuals with acquired brain injuries.

The work as a personal assistant means that you are a support in the individual's daily life and assist with what the individual cannot manage on their own. As a personal assistant, you work from a motivating approach, focusing on supporting the individual in their daily life to maintain and improve their own abilities.

The work is characterized by a social perspective where the individual's needs are at the center. As a personal assistant, you will also support the individual to have a meaningful everyday life, where security and responsiveness are important guiding principles. The work as a personal assistant offers you a varied profession that is never the same from one day to the next. The work will initially be during the day and every other weekend.

We are looking for someone with relevant education to work with individuals who have disabilities and who has a genuine interest in people. We seek someone who is flexible, creative, positive, cooperative, and has the ability to see solutions and opportunities.

You should be able to work independently and take great responsibility. A positive attitude and good communication skills are very important. We place great value on engagement in the work and a desire to contribute to the best for the organization and the individual.

The position requires that you have basic IT skills to work with the systems we use. You must also have basic knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

For this position, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license. Within the Social Services in Västervik municipality, we use language tests as part of the recruitment process.
