ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Kura Omsorg are looking for someone who wants to work as a substitute as needed in the role of personal assistant for our client in Västervik. There may be an opportunity for a fixed shift per week in the future.

Possible working hours:

• 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a curious teenage boy with intellectual disabilities and some autistic traits. He is verbal and can communicate but sometimes needs signs and pictures to understand.

Tasks may include:

• Assisting and supporting in daily routines such as tooth brushing, dressing, and cooking

• Presence and support during leisure activities, both inside and outside the home

• Providing clear, calm, and pedagogical guidance in everyday life

• Verbal support in daily life

• Working in a structured and preventive manner to create safety and stability

He enjoys being active and has many interests. Among other things, he likes to shoot with Nerf guns, fish, paint, build forts, play soccer, and build with Lego. Fishing is a particularly big interest, and he can happily be out fishing for long days, so it is a big plus if you also have a genuine interest in fishing.

For our client, routines in everyday life are of great importance, and he can easily become stressed if they are not followed. He is also a curious and impulsive person, which requires that you as an assistant are systematic, attentive, and engaged. You need to be secure in yourself, able to set clear boundaries, and at the same time work in a low-arousal manner when needed. We also value your ability to analyze others' needs and your passion for working with people. It is also desirable that you are calm and pedagogical, as great importance is placed on personal suitability.

REQUIREMENTS

• Non-smoker

• Must be able to swim

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience as a personal assistant or in healthcare

• Experience using signs as support in communication

• Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and/or positive behavioral support

Employment rate: Substitute as needed with the possibility of a fixed shift per week

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.
