The IT Department is responsible for the municipality's digital workplace, technical support, and operation of IT environments, ensuring that 7100 accounts and 1500 colleagues throughout the municipality have a functioning and smooth IT everyday life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for receiving incoming cases. You will handle tasks such as troubleshooting hardware/software, orders, and user management. You will work daily with systems and programs such as Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and mobile devices.
Main Responsibilities
- Staff the support desk and phone during office hours
- Manage or escalate incidents in the case management system
- Support and assist the municipality's employees with IT-related questions and problems
- Handle orders that come through the case management system
- Resolve IT-related issues at various departments within the municipality
- Document solutions and methods in the knowledge database
You will drive cases and resolve them independently or escalate them to the relevant person, where the main goal is always to solve the problem with the best possible service. Additionally, you will work with documentation, computer installations, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure. The work is mainly performed on-site. Some evening work may occur as we support our elected officials during committee meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
In your role in the municipality, you are expected to demonstrate good teamwork by having a positive attitude, collaboration, and high availability. By collaboration, we mean working together with colleagues and employees by sharing knowledge.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education in IT or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Experience in troubleshooting software and hardware within IT support.
- Experience in supporting M365
- Driver's license (B) as the role involves field visits
- Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge in:
- Experience working with a case management tool
- Networking
- Certifications in Microsoft/ITIL
- Management of objects via Active Directory
- PowerShell or other automation within IT support
- IT security and hardware security

Since the role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, you understand the importance of good communication. You are expected to independently find the information you need to solve a task. Furthermore, you demonstrate good collaboration skills, relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner, and have an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You understand the importance of being considerate, service-oriented, and communicative in your role as an IT Support Technician and colleague.

Practical tests may be conducted during the interview.
