Paramedic to NU Health Care

NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers a varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

Ambulance Operations Bohus Väst

The ambulance operations under NU Health Care are organized into six sub-areas: Bohus Norr (Tanum, Strömstad, and Kungshamn), Bohus Väst (Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil), Dalsland Norra (Åmål, Bengtsfors), Dalsland Södra (Dals Ed, Mellerud, and Färgelanda), Trestad Väst (Uddevalla and Henån), and Trestad Öst (Trollhättan, Vänersborg, and Lilla Edet).

Our mission is to assess and refer to the appropriate healthcare institution and, if necessary, care for and transport patients. An important part of our work is to always treat patients, relatives, colleagues, management, and other collaborating actors with a positive attitude and with a focus on respect and empathy.

Qualifications

To work as a paramedic, you must have at least nursing assistant competence with additional training in ambulance care for 20 or 40 weeks. You must have an approved emergency driver training. If the training has been completed outside NU Health Care, an individual assessment will be made.

You must have good physical capacity. Tests are included in the recruitment process. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, flexibility, the ability to work independently, and social competence.

A Class C1 driver's license is required.

Working Hours

Working hours are scheduled according to individual schedules with duties both during the day, at night, and on weekends.

Other

Interviews and tests will be conducted continuously during the application period.
