About the Position

"The best part of my job as a midwife is being able to provide continuous support and work with the family at the center. To support and empower and to be there when parents meet their child for the first time. That is what I get to do in my work as a midwife in labor and maternity care."

As a midwife with us in the delivery ward, you will have the opportunity to work broadly with obstetric care. There is an active change process related to the work environment and increased staffing density of both midwives and nursing assistants. You will be part of the development of the service and the future of women's healthcare, where we put the health of women and children on the map and create quality and value for our residents and for us as employees.

About Us in the Delivery Unit

We in the delivery unit handle about 3,000 deliveries per year and manage deliveries from pregnancy week 28. The unit also has care places for patients with high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy complications from week 22. We have close cooperation within the service area, and our goal is to provide quality and safe care in our management of patients. The unit includes the delivery ward, emergency reception for pregnant women, antenatal clinic, specialist maternity care, aurora clinic, and ultrasound services.

Active participation in continuous improvement work and service development in our unit is seen as a positive and important part of the job. In the unit, midwives, nursing assistants, doctors, and secretaries work closely together in teams. We are many experienced colleagues who enjoy working together and support each other in daily tasks. The delivery unit is an educational unit, which means we mentor students.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed midwife with experience in obstetric care being an advantage. Since the work is characterized by collaboration and variety, we value your ability to cooperate, flexibility, and holistic view. It is also important that you have good communication skills and enjoy sharing your knowledge in mentorship. You have the ability to see both needs and opportunities and bring forward your ideas to contribute to improving care, work methods, and work environment. We place great importance on personal suitability.
