Närhälsan Eriksberg Health Center is a modern health center beautifully located in the heart of Gothenburg's harbor.

Everyone is welcome here, and nearly 11,300 patients have chosen to register with us. We focus on health promotion and disease prevention activities. We offer general practitioner and district nurse consultations, child healthcare, asthma/COPD and diabetes clinics, as well as psychological services. Currently, there are eight district nurses/nurses working with us.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center cover a wide range of responsibilities and include the field of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-focused in primary care. You will spend a large part of your time on telephone counseling and digital healthcare meetings.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You work largely independently where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together, we are all responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, therefore, supervision of students is also included as part of the work at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a district nurse. You also have previous experience from working in primary care. We prefer that you have extensive experience in telephone counseling and an interest in working with digital healthcare meetings. If you have supervisor training of 7.5 credits, that is also an advantage.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are friendly, respectful, have a good approach, and are attentive. It is essential that you have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing and are an engaged and good listener via phone as well as in digital meetings. We prefer that you have a strong interest in digitalization and business development.

About the recruitment process

The selection process takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
