About the Operation

LARO Clinic 2 Högsbo is one of four outpatient clinics within the LARO operation at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We work with medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence, known as substitution treatment. At our clinic in Högsbo, we meet patients who are in the rehabilitation phase of their substitution treatment, aiming to reduce relapse and strengthen resources for self-care. In addition to our clinics in Högsbo, we have outpatient clinics at Östra Hospital and Olskroken. Furthermore, we have a mobile team in collaboration with the needle exchange program that works outreach.

The workgroup you will be part of works closely together. The team includes nurses, caregivers, social workers, doctors, secretaries, pharmacists, and midwives. We are all part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that the patient receives the best possible treatment. As a nurse, you will be part of a contact team for a group of patients and be responsible for their medical and care-specific follow-ups.

The clinic is conveniently located near Radiomotet, with good bus connections.

What We Can Offer You

LARO Clinics 1 and 2 Högsbo are located next to each other, which means you have good collegial support, with several colleagues on duty every day. We also have close collaboration between the clinics.

At LARO, you will receive an individually tailored introduction and shadowing. Experienced colleagues will support you in settling into your new job. We offer internal training regarding opioid dependence. In the Dependency Operations area, you will receive everything from basic training in psychiatry to advanced knowledge in addiction.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will have a flexible job that alternates between a structured drop-in clinic and outpatient work. Mornings are visit-intensive, and you will work closely with other colleagues in our medical clinic. Afternoons allow for individual patient conversations, care planning, and meetings. As a nurse, you will be responsible for the care of our patients and participate in medication administration, sampling, assessment, and documentation in our journal systems, such as Melior. You will manage your planning for individual patient conversations and be given time for administrative work. Patient contact often spans many years. You will work motivationally with the patient regarding their needs. You will collaborate with the unit's outpatient clinics, municipalities, and other care neighbors to create the best possible care conditions.

The work is primarily scheduled during weekdays, but weekend duty every 12th weekend is included. Our weekend clinic is held at Östra Hospital from 08:00 to 13:00.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. Experience with LARO treatment and/or psychiatry is an advantage, as is experience in relapse prevention work and motivational interviewing (MI). Experience with the documentation system Melior and the patient administrative system Elvis is desirable.

The work requires personal maturity and a preference for working independently.
