Paramedic to NU Health Care

NU Health Care is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

NU Health Care's Ambulance Service

The ambulance service under NU Health Care is organized into six sub-areas: Bohus North (Tanum, Strömstad, and Kungshamn), Bohus West (Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil), Dalsland North (Åmål, Bengtsfors), Dalsland South (Dals Ed, Mellerud, and Färgelanda), Trestad West (Uddevalla and Henån), and Trestad East (Trollhättan and Vänersborg).

About Us

The Bohus West ambulance is part of NU Health Care and the Västra Götaland Region. The department includes the stations in Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil.

In total, we are about 40 employees who staff 3 emergency vehicles, 1 day vehicle, and 1 assessment vehicle. The catchment area presents an exciting and geographically challenging assignment as it is approximately 80 kilometers to the emergency hospital in Trollhättan, which we primarily drive to.

In the ambulance service at NU Health Care, we see that many different competencies are a great asset and advantage. We strive to maintain a 70/30% distribution between nurses and paramedics. In NU Health Care, you are a specialist nurse in both ambulance nursing, anesthesia, intensive care, emergency care, and district nursing.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse.

To serve as a nurse in the ambulance, it is desirable that you have experience from / or ambulance care emergency medical unit. Further education in ambulance care, anesthesia, or intensive care is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, flexibility, the ability to work independently, and social competence. You should have good physical capacity; tests are included in the recruitment process.

A Class B driver's license is required; a Class C1 driver's license is desirable.

Working Hours

Working hours are scheduled with shifts both during the day, night, and weekends.

Other

Interviews and tests will be conducted continuously during the application period.

The position may be placed in a security class. This means that a security review and background check may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act before employment.
