Hedemora Municipality is now looking for a driven and structured cultural coordinator who wants to make a difference in our residents' everyday lives.

Here, you will be part of an engaged team of 6 people working with cultural and leisure issues, passionate about making culture accessible to everyone in Hedemora Municipality.

Organizationally, you belong to the Education Administration's culture and leisure unit and are part of a team that is development-oriented, curious, and professional. Within the unit, we also have a Cultural School with 14 teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a cultural coordinator in Hedemora Municipality, you are the spider in the web of our local cultural life. You work strategically and operationally to enable, develop, and spread culture for all ages.

You see collaboration opportunities and enjoy working with both associations and cultural actors. You act as a link between the municipality, the local association life, independent cultural practitioners, and other regional actors.

You are responsible for planning and implementing cultural events and projects. You will be responsible for the work with Creative School, EKO (student cultural representatives), cultural coordinators in schools, and ensuring a broad cultural offering for all ages.

You are responsible for the Idea-Based Public Partnership (IOP), which is a collaboration between public actors and non-profit organizations. Your tasks also include managing grants related to cultural funding and, together with the team, being responsible for culture in care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an education in the cultural sector and experience in driving and administering cultural projects. You can handle multiple projects simultaneously without losing focus on the details. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and dare to try new formats. You love meeting people and find it easy to create and maintain relationships, both internally and externally.

We require that you have:

• Post-secondary education in culture, art, social sciences, or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Work experience in cultural production, project work, program planning, and cultural administration.
• Solid administrative skills and good experience with digital tools (Excel, Teams, publishing systems, etc.).
• Driver's license.

OTHER

It is meritorious if you have previously worked in a politically governed organization and have experience in marketing and social media.

When working within the Culture and Leisure Administration, you need to submit an extract from the Criminal Records Register.

Evening and weekend work may occur.
