Outokumpu is currently seeking a Swedish-speaking IT Service Desk Specialist who wants to provide qualified IT support to our users and contribute to a stable, modern, and sustainable IT environment. About the role

As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you are the first point of contact for users needing technical assistance via chat, service portal, phone, and email. You play a central role in creating a smooth user experience, solving problems effectively, and ensuring stable IT operations.

The work is varied and combines service, technology, and problem-solving. You assist users with everything from simple support questions to more complex technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and other IT-related areas. Through remote support, troubleshooting, and clear communication, you guide the user to a solution, and when necessary, escalate cases to the appropriate team.

An important part of the role is also to document cases and solutions in our IT service management system and contribute to the development of our knowledge base and work processes. You collaborate closely with both local and global IT teams to solve problems, prevent recurring incidents, and enhance the quality of our support.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • providing first-line support in Swedish and English
  • troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a structured and efficient manner
  • guiding users and escalating cases when necessary
  • documenting cases, actions, and solutions
  • contributing to improved processes, routines, and work methods
  • collaborating with local and global IT teams

We are looking for someone who has experience from Service Desk, IT support, or has a relevant IT education or equivalent background. You have a strong interest in technology and a good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and IT-related products.

To thrive in this role, we also believe that you are analytical, solution-oriented, and enjoy helping others. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, have a calm and professional demeanor, and are driven by learning new things and developing within IT.

It is advantageous if you have experience with:

  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • ITIL framework
  • work within the manufacturing industry

In this role, we offer a salary between 27,000 – 37,000 SEK per month, depending on education, experience, skills, and geographical location.

The final candidate will need to undergo a security clearance before employment can begin.
