Welcome to a job that actively improves Sweden's labor market!
Our mission is to create social value by connecting job seekers and employers.
At the same time, we strive to provide fair and equal service to our citizens. Together, we get Sweden to work! Do you want to be one of us?
Section's Mission
In special sections within the Employment Service, there are specialists for job seekers with disabilities in vision, deafness, and hearing. The specialists are audiologists, deaf consultants, vision specialists, psychologists, and employment officers with a focus on SIUS.
The section belongs to the unit of Jämtland/Härjedalen, responsible for the counties of Örebro, Värmland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg, but other counties in the North region may also be involved. The goal of our work is to create full participation and equality for people with the aforementioned disabilities by providing them support and creating conditions for work or education.
Job Description
SIUS stands for Special Introduction and Follow-up Support – a method aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities to find, obtain, and retain employment. The method is based on individually tailored support, both for the job seeker and the employer, to create long-term and sustainable employment.
As an employment officer with a focus on SIUS, you play a key role in contributing to a more inclusive labor market. You work to identify and highlight the job seeker's skills, abilities, and motivations, with the goal of matching these with employers' needs.
An important part of your mission is to actively and proactively work outreach to employers. You take your own initiatives to establish and develop business contacts, promote the Employment Service's support to employers, and create new opportunities for employment for people with disabilities. The work also involves continuously processing the labor market within the county you operate, following up contacts, and building long-term collaborations with companies and organizations.
You collaborate closely with colleagues within the section and with other actors, where together you contribute to more job seekers getting the opportunity to step into the labor market.
The position involves travel within the county, and in some cases within the North region.
Our Offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Borlänge.
We offer you the opportunity to work in a workplace where we value the balance between work and private life. You will have access to a generous vacation agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely for part of your working hours when the business allows. We also include wellness during working hours and a favorable wellness allowance.
As an employee of the Employment Service, you have access to professional development and career opportunities within the authority. Through our work, we contribute to an inclusive and sustainable society, where you have the opportunity to make a real difference for individuals and for society at large.
