Your Responsibilities
Leksand Municipality, the cultural department, is now seeking a cultural secretary with exhibition responsibility, whose main task is to make culture accessible and bring it to life from many different perspectives through the cultural department's exhibition work.

They are performed independently in consultation with the cultural manager, as well as together with other employees in the cultural department. The work is primarily carried out during daytime on weekdays, but evening and weekend work may occur.

We are looking for someone with a university degree that the employer deems appropriate for the position. For the role, it is a requirement that you have knowledge of exhibition work, which includes planning, implementation, technology, and lighting, as well as knowledge of artistic techniques, craftsmanship, and handling of art objects.
You should have experience in driving development work and processes, working with digital tools, and planning and implementing activities related to exhibitions. You should also have experience speaking and lecturing to an audience. You have the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as the ability to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate. Additionally, you have the ability to visualize and present abstract ideas, concepts, trends in societal development, and complex relationships in a communicative way.
As a person, you are service-oriented, proactive, social, and structured. You also have a problem-solving analytical ability.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Knowledge of and experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Knowledge of driving projects from application to reporting, as well as experience in project management.
- Knowledge of multiple languages (for example, English, German, or French).
- Experience managing museum collections.
- Experience planning and implementing activities within the cultural field.
- Experience making culture accessible for children and youth, as well as for people with disabilities.
- The ability to create trust, confidence, and good relationships, both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of local history and heritage knowledge.
- Experience searching for and using archival material.
- A driver's license for a passenger car (B driver's license), as the position involves travel primarily within the municipality and Dalarna. Being comfortable with irregular working hours is also advantageous in this context.
