IT Technician with a Focus on Operational Support

Do you want to be part of developing and driving how the Special Communications Unit (SSE) works with support and operation of our command support systems? We are currently looking for an IT technician focused on operational support, based in Enköping.

SSE is part of the Swedish Armed Forces Special Operations Command (FMSF) and has the main task of providing FMSF with command system support competence in the areas of information and communication systems. The unit places high demands on availability, readiness, and accuracy in the work performed.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking on new challenges and working with problem-solving. We see that you have a high ability to collaborate and a strong sense of responsibility for your tasks.

You will collaborate with other members of our Information Systems Group (IS-Group), and tasks will be distributed among you based on experience and competence. The position involves a lot of direct contact with users, which will test your social and communicative skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide support via phone, email, and on-site to staff
• Installation and deployment of hardware
• Troubleshooting clients, printers, and other peripheral equipment
• Routine tasks related to signal protection systems
• Operation of IT systems
• Responsibility for inventory and handling of materials

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process is divided into two parts: The first part consists of practical and theoretical technical components. The second part consists of a medical examination and psychological interview. The process concludes with a security review before employment.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in IT or equivalent experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience in installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Experience in user support.
• Driver's license B
• Normal hearing
• Normal color vision
• No serious allergies

• Experience with Windows-based domains
• Experience with the Total Defense signal protection system
• Previous work within the Armed Forces or another government agency
