Deputy Material Area Responsible (Deputy MOA) in Signal Protection

FMTIS Technical and Maintenance Office Command Systems (TVK Ledsyst) in Enköping and Stockholm consists of about 190 employees in seven departments. The unit's main task is the procurement and management of the Armed Forces' command and information systems throughout their life cycle, from development to decommissioning, during war, crisis, and peace. The Armed Forces and the unit are experiencing strong growth, which means we need you!

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Deputy MOA, you will have delegated responsibility within the framework of the material area of signal protection. You are expected to, in close collaboration with the material area responsible, independently drive material and coordination processes regarding the Armed Forces' material supply of signal protection.

The Deputy MOA primarily works to perform the following tasks:

  • identify future needs, ensure long-term technical capability, and prepare central decisions for the entire life cycle
  • develop guidelines for maintenance, operation, and support
  • lead the work on the material plan (MP) and investment plan (IP) for the assigned area
  • lead the work in the concept, development, and production phases of material systems
  • ensure agreed availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness during operation

The work is carried out in close collaboration with the MOA, design responsible (DesignA), representative of the owner (ÄFR), and appointed supplier (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) or others), as well as relevant defense branches/forces (FG/SK), the Ministry of Defence, and maintenance providers, both nationally and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in managing IT systems in large organizations
  • Experience in coordination in leadership positions, e.g., project management, line manager, or process leader
  • Good knowledge of requirements specification for technical systems, primarily on the needs side
  • Academic education in technology/IT/system science or experiences that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license B

Personal Qualities

You are a person who takes responsibility and is proactive in your tasks. You can work structured and independently and are not afraid to make decisions when necessary to lead and drive the work forward. You are resilient to stress and have the ability to prioritize as well as good analytical skills. You can collaborate with others and are social and unpretentious, qualities that are required as the work demands close cooperation with other organizational units and authorities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience in the defense industry, FM, FMV, or other government authority as well as international collaborations
  • Knowledge of signal protection, IT security, or intelligence and security systems
  • Certifications in IT and information security
  • Experience in budgeting and financial follow-up
  • Experience from integrated business systems – preferably SAP
  • Integrated Logistic System (ILS)
  • Methodological competence and experience of a process-oriented working method (ITIL, SAFe).
