The Administrative Court in Sundsvall is one of the four administrative courts in the country. The court's main task is to review cases that are appealed from the administrative courts in Falun, Härnösand, Umeå, and Luleå. The most common types of cases are tax cases, social insurance cases, cases under the Social Services Act, and various cases concerning coercion against individuals. In addition to handling cases, the court is tasked with training clerks and assessors in the four-year judicial training program. The court also performs administrative tasks for the Appeals Board for lay judges.
The court has approximately 50 employees. It is divided into a judicial department, a case management office, and an administrative unit. The administrative unit is shared with the Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland.

The work involves
As a summer clerk, you will participate in the handling of various types of cases, write draft judgments and decisions, conduct legal research, and present cases before the court's judges. The work is developmental and provides valuable insight into the types of cases that occur in an administrative court.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must be studying at a law program. The spring semester before summer 2026 must be at least your sixth semester, and you should not have completed your education before the summer. You should have studied procedural law and administrative law and have good grades from completed parts of your legal education. You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, be meticulous, and have good collaboration skills.
According to the Act (1971:289) on general administrative courts, it follows that a clerk in the administrative court must be a Swedish citizen.
To be considered for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the state values that govern the operations of Sweden's courts.
