The Adult Psychiatry Unit (VO) in Kristianstad provides outpatient care in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Simrishamn, and Ystad. The emergency department and all inpatient care are located in Kristianstad. For residents belonging to Ystad, Skurup, and Sjöbo, inpatient care and emergency services are offered in Malmö and Lund. Our catchment area includes the northeastern and southeastern municipalities of Skåne, with a total of approximately 300,000 people. We have a good collaboration with the municipalities through cooperation meetings and care planning. Despite a large geographical spread, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths.

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Ystad is a well-functioning, fully staffed, and stable operation where we care for each other and our patients. We assess and treat patients with affective disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, as well as various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions. We work with a gradual and individually tailored treatment both in groups and individually to meet the patients' needs. Here, you will meet about 50 colleagues with a genuine interest in providing our patients with the best possible care. We work in interdisciplinary specialist teams to collectively meet the patient's needs. The teams consist of doctors, psychologists, nurses, caregivers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and social workers.

Our clinic is in constant development and works with the implementation of standardized care processes and the person-centered care approach.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

One of our colleagues has received a new assignment within the area of operations, and we are now looking for you to become our new colleague!

As a medical secretary, you will work closely with doctors, other healthcare staff, and your fellow medical secretaries. You will be part of a wonderful team that helps and supports each other. Your work will primarily consist of receiving patients at the reception and organizing and structuring the administrative work at the clinic. In the team, you will collaborate with different personnel categories and actively contribute to improving routines, working methods, and the development of the unit. Your tasks will include administration in Melior, scheduling, registrations in Pasis, and managing referrals and team conferences. You will also be a great support to your colleagues. In this role, you will have some patient contact through phone handling and managing incoming cases via 1177. Additionally, there is the possibility of having your own areas of responsibility such as My Plans, Callguide, and more.

When you start, you will receive an introduction and shadowing tailored to your needs and circumstances.

The position is a temporary contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY/400p YH or equivalent medical secretary training. Additionally, you have good knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We consider it an advantage if you have good computer skills and knowledge of Melior and Pasis. We also welcome those who are newer to the profession and interested in our operations.

As a person, you are meticulous and loyal, work service-oriented, and have a flexible approach where you can quickly adapt when needed. An exciting, varied, and developing job appeals to you.
